Job Description:

Worshipping through Musical Arts is an important element for The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection West (Olathe) Campus as music is the critical tool for experiencing worship and unifying the community in our suburban context.  We are seeking an artist with a servant’s heart who has knowledge of modern worship music, ancient-modern hymns, and secular songs appropriate for a worship setting.  This position will manage the planning and execution of all musical components of worship and other campus special events as needed, including, but not limited to, selection and arranging of music, developing and training volunteer worship leaders, recruiting and training volunteers for bands and choirs, and being a key contributor in the weekly worship planning process. Successful candidates will have proficiency on guitar or piano with proven experience in instructing others and arranging music.  Additionally, excellent communication skills, initiative, and computer proficiency is required.
