Oak Hills Church - Campus Minister



Scope: Lead Minister for Oak Hills Church –Outer West Campus


Primary Duties and Responsibilities


Campus Leadership

1. Lead, communicate, motivate and cast vision to Campus body / personally living & practicing the OHC mission, values and strategy

2. Recruit, Lead, Equip & Care for staff and lay-leaders for effective ministry

  • Weekly Staff Meetings
  • Staff Monthly 1-1 Meetings
  • Staff Quarterly Reviews

3. Develop and oversee campus ministry plan & budget in coordination with Minister of Campus Life

4. Partner with Campus Elders (CAT) in ministry plan implementation

5. Communicate to Campus body via weekend gatherings, website, email’s & printed materials

6. Oversee Campus OHC Assimilation Process

  • Guest Services Team & Visitor Connection Process
  • Visitor Follow-up Process (Arena / Email / Personal Note)
  • Discover OHC Workshop
  • Baptisms
  • Belong / Grow / Serve Personal Plans
  • Neighborhood Group Connection

7. Oversee local & global outreach Campus Causes

8. Oversee Campus ministry duties (including pastoral counseling, officiating of weddings & funerals, hospital visitations, baptisms & prayer)

9. Oversee Campus Programs & sub-ministries

10. Overall management of facility

11. Provide leadership development and training for future campuses to be birthed out of this campus. 

12. Other duties as assigned


Attend the following meetings:

  • 2/month Campus Life Team Mtg’s
  • Monthly All Staff Mtg’s
  • Monthly 1-1’s with Minister of Campus Life
  • Quarterly MLM’s
  • Other department Mtg’s as needed


Campus Weekend Gatherings

1. Co-ordinate, produce and design effective weekend services around video teaching with help of Campus worship leader / Producer & Central Support Team.

2. Lead “up front” at weekend services; develop other leaders to do the same

3. Preach/teach when appropriate and needed (25% of weekends)

4. Oversee the development of  Weekend Guest Services Team

5. Recruit, Lead, Equip & care for volunteer teams

6. Insure quality & value of Prayer Ministry

7. Implement and maintain risk management procedures; hold staff accountable for same

8. Be present to meet and minister to folks before during and after worship assemblies, ministry events and gatherings.


  Community Life Leadership

1. Communicate, motivate and cast vision to Campus body / personally living & practicing the OHC community life strategy

2. Work in close partnership with Community Minister(s) to connect people into neighborhood groups.


Reporting Relationships

Reports to Minister of Campus Life


Campus Staff


Minimum Qualifications:

3-5 years of Church planting and/or multi-site ministry experience

Bachelor’s degree in Ministry, Biblical Studies or related field

Graduate education preferred (Experience can substitute for education per individual)

Actively practices personal spiritual disciplines

Be an OHC member & aligned with the OHC mission statement

Leads by example / personally engaged with OHC strategy

Strong relational and team building skills

Proven leadership skills

Strong presentation skills

Strong organizational & administrative skills

Strong written communication skills

Cross cultural sensitivity (ministry experience desirable
