Job Description:

To manage the office and provide administrative/secretarial support to the Senior Pastor, the church staff and various church ministries


The Office Administrator is primarily accountable to the Senior Pastor of the church with secondary accountability to the Staff Parish Relations Committee




Preferred B.A. from an accredited college or equivalent experience



•             Mature, growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ


•             Effective skills in communication with staff, church leadership and congregation


•             Able to maintain confidentiality


•             Able to operate multi-line telephone system with voicemail


•             Excellent telephone skills and pleasant telephone manner


•             Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously


•             Comfortable with constant interruptions


•             Able to maintain office filing system


•             Able to operate office equipment including copier, fax and postage meter


•             Excellent writing skills including grammar, letter formatting and proofreading


•             Able to type [word processing] a minimum 55 WPM with no errors


•             Proficient in the use of personal computers in an office setting including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft PowerPoint, Calendar Creator and Email – query building and database experience are helpful, as membership records are kept in Servant Keeper Database Software


•             Required to work year-round, 40 hours per week
