Director of Worship & Music Ministries

Church: growing evangelical fellowship of 550 avg. worshippers. We have moved to a very innovative and contemporary worship style. We have done preaching series that included drama, music and video around such themes as The Wizard of Oz, It’s a Wonderful Life, and Forest Gump. In 2005 we moved to our new 92 acre campus which houses our 750 seat worship center with full theatrical stage, lighting, video projection and sound. We have technical teams for each of the above areas with lay tech directors for each. We have a rich history of theater both in terms of major productions as well as our worship services. We use a ministry team approach for staff which currently consists of 2 full-time & one part-time minister and 4 office support staff. An administrative assistant is assigned to assist this position. This position will become a third full-time pastoral staff position.

Position: We are looking for a creative and energetic person to join our team. This staff person will oversee and provide leadership and vision for the following growing ministry areas:
•Design and provide leadership of our weekly worship services utilizing the gifts of a very large talented pool of volunteers.
•Create and provide direction for all worship teams including music leaders, vocalists, musicians and tech teams.
Currently we have five such teams.
•Provide continuous leadership and vision for various dramatic components including worship sketches and special
Christmas and Easter presentatiaons.
•Develop worship technologies and methods to enhance worship services (e.g., use of a variety of media, dramatic skits).
•Provide oversight for all musical groups.

This is a full-time position with excellent pay/benefits package including housing allowance, insurance, and retirement.

Qualifications: Deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in worship/music with a desire to create innovative worship experiences. Two years experience in leading and managing worship teams.
