Evangelical Free Church of Bloomington is seeking to fill its full-time Pastor / Director of Children & Families position. This position is open to men and women.
S/he will take over leadership of a children’s ministry, birth – 5th grade. S/he will have a philosophy of ministry which encompasses the whole family, not just children. S/he will think and plan strategically with a team of lay Children & Family coordinators,
aiming for numeric and spiritual growth. S/he will know and learn how to function well in a true team setting, as a member of the senior leadership team.

• 4-year Bachelor’s degree.
• Ministry experience.
Prefer but do not require:
• Master’s degree.
• Christian Ed (or equivalent) major / emphasis in undergrad or seminary.
• 3 years of leadership in children’s and/or family ministry. (Consideration will be given to equivalent combination of experience and education.)
•Leads and mentors the lay Children & Families Coordinators, providing overall leadership (vision, direction and growth) of ministry to families with children.
•In coordination with the lay C&F Coordinators – oversees weekly children’s programming.
•Works with the lay C&F Coordinators to evaluate what enhancements and improvements should be made, especially in terms of reaching and discipling families for Christ.
•Oversees two summer camps.
•Shows strong ability to work in a ministry staff team setting.
•Plans, organizes and executes the Family Christmas Eve service.
E-Free is a church home for 775 people with an average attendance of 550 per week, worshipping at three separate services - 1 traditional and 2 contemporary. The children’s ministry consists of 240 students, with an average attendance of 120 per Sunday.
