Medinah Baptist Church seeks a full-time Pastor for the Junior High and the Senior High youth of the church in union with the church’s philosophy of whole-family discipleship.

Job Summary:
The primary responsibility for this position is: (1) to aid Christian parents in the discipleship of their children, and (2) to train Christian leaders who will disciple the students associated with the church. Essentially, the director will implement a ministry designed for Christians that is welcoming to their non-Christian friends.

Desired Qualifications (Heart)
•A born-again Christian with a clear testimony of a Spirit controlled life
•Philosophy of ministry and doctrine must be in agreement with the philosophy of ministry and doctrine of MBC
•Character that is; teachable, compassionate, has integrity in sexual matters, has integrity in financial matters, and his life aligns with 1 Timothy 3 guidelines
•A married male with his spouse/family supportive and involved in ministry
•Bachelor of Arts with 30 hours Bible plus Youth Ministry Minor
•Supportive relationships with spouse and family (if applicable)
•One or more years completed toward a M.Div. or MA in Pastoral or Youth Ministry
•Spiritual gifts: Leadership, Teaching, Shepherding, and Administration
•Call and commitment to the midwest
•Two or more years of experience as a Student Ministries Pastor of a multi-staff church
•Passion for evangelism and missions and desire to instill that love in others.
•Commitment to and demonstration of servant leadership, strong youth relational skills, teamwork
•Enthusiastic about partnering with parents in all aspects of the ministry
•Outgoing personality (kid magnet)

Responsibilities (Hands)
•Pastoral care to the Student Ministries flock, including students, leaders and staff
•Lead teacher of God’s Word and active worship organizer for Student Ministry Sunday AM(s) mid-week program(s), with visibility and access to all students
•Oversee development and execution of an annual ministry plan for ministries to junior and senior high students
•Also oversee parent ministries such as workshops, skills training, and counseling as appropriate
•Oversee paid and unpaid Student Ministries staff, interns, and Student Ministries volunteer staff, including recruitment, equipping and shepherding
•Maintain a regular office schedule and attend staff meetings
•Chief administrator of Student Ministries, including coordination of personnel, budget development and management, program design and implementation, and maintenance of communications and operations systems
•Support leadership and execution of short-term mission trips with pre-trip equipping and team-building, and post-trip follow-up which seeks to maximize the potential for spiritual growth and maturity for each team member
•Initiative in the development and maintenance of regular communications with parents, the larger church body and the community in the interest of fostering trust, support and involvement
•Work with other organization such as Youth for Christ to establish outreach at area High Schools
•Develop ministries to reach and partner with the families of junior and senior high students of the church who are not involved in youth group
