Location: Lufkin, Texas (East Texas)

Population of Lufkin: 35,000 + surrounding areas (approx. 60,000 people within 10 mile radius and 90,000 people within a 15 mile radius)

Church Demographics: Approximately 2500 adherents; LFA has a Spanish ministry that contains approx. 300 adherents and a new satellite church plant that currently averages 85 people.

Position Available: Children's Pastor

Educational/Ministerial Requirements: Ministerial License from the Assemblies of God, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least two years of experience in Children's Ministrjavascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$ContentPlaceHolderFullPage$ButtonSave2','')y preferred.

Job Description: The Children’s Pastor is responsible to administer and develop all aspects of the Children’s Ministry of Lufkin First Assembly. He/she is to be a spiritual example, mentor and leader to our children and adult volunteers. He/she should focus on the spiritual development of our children in partnership with parents through weekly services, activity nights, coordinated events, personal relationships, and discipleship. He/she oversees all children’s programming to include Royal Rangers, Missionettes, children’s Sunday school classes, JBQ, illustrative arts, and Kids’ Ministry Teams. He/she develops, recommends and implements policies and procedures for the safety and security of children and Children’s Ministry personnel. He/she oversees, develops and trains all ministry volunteers so they can be released for maximum ministry impact. He/she has an ability to grow in ministry and has a heart for evangelism and outreach in the community. He/she has a vision for reaching multi-ethnic children through Sidewalk Sunday School, Bus Ministry, etc. and is able to share the Gospel message to churched and unchurched children in a way that is creative and culturally relevant. The Children's Pastor needs to be able to work well with others as a team, lead a blend of paid and volunteer nursery workers and fully support the vision of the Senior Leadership.

Salary Range/Benefits: The Children's Pastor's salary will be discussed during the interview process and will depend on the applicant's experience and education. Benefits for this position include four weeks of paid vacation, one week of paid sick leave, three personal days, a traveling paid birthday holiday, a week + paid vacation at Christmas, other paid holidays and paid health insurance.
