Administrative Pastor – Position Description
The Administrative Pastor will in collaboration with and under the direction of the Lead Pastor oversee
CFC ministries and volunteers. By modeling effective leadership, will cultivate Christ-like service in
others to advance CFC’s mission.
Reports to: Lead Pastor
Member of: Executive Ministry Team
Team : Ministry Team Leaders and CFC Staff Members
Your primary responsibility is to provide leadership and vision to CFC ministries within your
oversight. You will work with the Lead Pastor to ensure each of these ministries align with CFC’s
mission and vision.
1. To direct and oversee ministry team leaders.
2. To develop and evaluate your designated ministries goals and purposes.
3. To effectively identify and assess individuals’ spiritual gifts encouraging them to volunteer for
assignments appropriate to their strengths and passions.

1. Effective communication
-Ensures team leaders are meeting goals and purposes of their ministry area
-Coordinates marketing needs for each ministry with Operations Manager
-Develops strategic plans in collaboration with team leaders
-Elicits feedback from volunteers regarding their sense of fulfillment and contentment in
their area of service
-Provides honest advice and evaluation
2. Financial Planning
-Oversees ministry budgets
-Inspires team leaders to effectively direct their volunteers
-Advises and counsels volunteers to be accountable and committed to their service area
-Recruits and develops new leaders
-Develops strategic vision, goals and objectives
-Models servant leadership

-Prioritizes responsibilities and efforts

5. Human Resources
-Strives for continual improvement of operations by measuring the effectiveness of staff and
-Analyzes and identifies additional staff needs as appropriate
-Develops and reassesses job descriptions
-Conducts performance evaluations and development of staff
-Recruits and conducts initial staff interviews
-Embodies the team leadership model practiced by the Executive Ministry Team which
requires each individual to be an active and contributing member.
-Makes use of opportunities to construct, evaluate and implement goals that impact the church
beyond individual ministries.
-Brings spiritual dynamism to the conference table along with unique gifts and passions, and
helps to build a comprehensive vision influenced by God's Spirit.
-Exemplifies servant leadership and spiritual acuity in moments of decision-making to help
build God's Kingdom.

Education: 4-year college degree in related field required
Masters of Divinity preferred
Experience: Evidence of successful experience in pastoral duties
Counseling and discipling
Working with and leading diverse individuals
Weekly Time Commitment: Full-Time
