Job Description:
The Pastor of Outreach will oversee the intentional ministry that will reach our world for Christ and equip the congregation in carrying out Acts 1:8 and the vision and goals of West Side Church.
In addition, he will provide the leadership to reach out to young families and young adults.
This position involves teaching, training, leadership development, organizing ministry, modeling evangelism and missions, and some pastoral duties.

1. Equip the leadership of the mission teams.
•Pastor of the Missions Global & Missions Local Ministry Teams.
•Coordination of church support, connection, communication and direction for all overseas missionaries and workers.
•Oversee the short-term mission work.
•Oversee development of community outreach as advisor to those starting new ministry.
•Connect the work of the teams to the life and direction of the church and vice versa.
2. All-church outreach coordinator and advisor.
•Oversee and grow regular all-church outreach events to cast vision, coordinate involvement and implement these efforts.
•Give input and encouragement to all staff with outreach efforts in their area of responsibility.
3. Train the congregation in personal evangelism.
•Ensure on-going training and assist in instruction in evangelism and missions through the discipleship avenues in the church. Arrange to celebrate and communicate spiritual fruit with the congregation.
4. Young Families Task Force.
•Lead a Young Family Task Force to prioritize and develop the strategies for reaching this age group to win, build, equip and send them in line with the Church’s mission and vision. This team will initially also include other members of the staff and volunteers.
5. Church planting strategy.
•Coordinate the vision and strategy for church planting into the future.
6. Pastoral duties.
•Participate in some pastoral responsibility. Occasionally assist with some visitation, available for preaching and teaching, and short-term mission travel.
