The Pastor of 936 Ministry will oversee Countryside’s 936 ministry to ensure that children from birth through grade 12 will have the opportunity to explore and take successive steps in discipleship toward Jesus. This will be ensured through the implementation of ministry environments pertaining to each age group as they journey through the 936 weeks of their lives in the 936 Ministry. This position reports to the Lead Pastor and will work closely with all of Countryside’s leadership team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include the oversight of Countryside’s 936 Ministry that includes environments for early childhood through student ministries. These environments are currently identified as Zumbua Land (birth-age 5), Main Street (grade 1-grade 4), Route 56 (grade 5 and 6), and CSM jh and sh (grades 7-12).
The Pastor of 936 will oversee all related staff (both paid and un-paid) working in the 936 Ministry including the development of leadership and shepherding of this staff. He will also develop and maintain communication and partnership with the parents and guardians of the children involved in 936. The Pastor of 936 will ensure that all teaching and shepherding fall within the theological, cultural, and systematic ethos established at Countryside. He will also be required to attend all staff and leadership meetings established by the Lead Pastor as well as complete any other tasks or assignments given to him by the Lead Pastor.
Oversight of all 936 environments, maintaining a high level of care and excellence within the Countryside ethos.
Direction and supervision of 936 staff (paid and un-paid).
Development and implementation of 936 systems including all teaching.
Communication to and partnering with parents and guardians of 936 children.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Character: Godliness, maturity, passion, flexibility, creative communication, and humility are essential and expected.
Behavioral Competencies: gifting in shepherding, good interpersonal communication skills; strong public speaking and writing skills, and strong leadership qualities.
Abilities: must have past job-related experience; must have education/training pertaining to the accountabilities of this position; a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Macintosh computer operating systems; must have the ability to care and shepherd individuals from diverse background and stages of spiritual development; must have strong teaching and communication abilities; must have the desire to grow in abilities and capable of continuing education and growth in this position.
