The Pastor of Student Ministry will be responsible for the oversight and direction of Countryside’s Student Ministry (CSM). Countryside’s mission::to grow a community of committed Christ-followers who love God and love others, is contextualized to students from fifth through grade twelve through Route 56 (grades 5 and 6), CSM (jh) (grades 7 and 8) and CSM (sh) (grades 9-12).
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Student Pastor include leading the weekly CSM gatherings: Tuesday night (jh) and Wednesday night (sh). The Student Pastor is also responsible to lead Route56 each Sunday. He will ensure that each student has the opportunity and the environment to connect in community, become in discipleship, and discover their mission both individually and as a part of the Countryside community. This includes the oversight and implementation of all teaching and spiritual formation plans for students under the ethos and authority of Countryside’s collective mission as well as the maintenance and administration of all CSM small groups and leaders.
The Student Pastor will also be responsible for the identification, assimilation, and development of all ministry volunteers assisting with CSM.

Character: Godliness, maturity, passion, flexibility, creative communication, and humility are essential and expected.
Behavioral Competencies: gifting in teaching and shepherding, good interpersonal communication skills; strong public speaking and writing skills, and strong leadership qualities.
Abilities: must have past job-related experience; must have education/training pertaining to the accountabilities of this position; a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Macintosh computer operating systems; must have the ability to care and shepherd individuals from diverse background and stages of spiritual development; must have strong teaching and communication abilities; must have the desire to grow in abilities and capable of continuing education and growth in this position.
