A mature follower of Christ who is committed to the truth of the Scripture.
We are seeking a full-time Worship Pastor who:
Senses a genuine call from God to lead worship ministry in the local church.
Has a passion to lead God’s people in meaningful worship experiences.
Is in doctrinal agreement with the Church Covenant and the Baptist Faith and Message.
Has sufficient education, training, skills and experience to serve in this ministry position.
Must have a heart for worship and a clear calling to lead and teach others in worship. Must have instrumental and vocal abilities. Acoustic & Electric Guitar preferred.
Church wide worship ministry
Lead the planning, coordination, and evaluation of our overall worship & music ministry including choirs, other vocalists, and instrumentalists.
Lead our church in the development of both traditional and contemporary worship services.
Coordinate rehearsal schedules for all instrumental and vocal groups in our music ministry.
Schedule seasonal and special worship events.
Work with the pastor and other worship leaders in the planning and selection of worship music for congregation, choir, praise teams, and instrumentalists.
Lead efforts for enlisting and training leaders for our church music ministry in cooperation with the church Nominating Committee.
Be knowledgeable of sound equipment, projection equipment, computer software, etc. related to worship ministry and give oversight to operation and maintenance.
Train and equip volunteer operators of sound, video and other worship technology.
Oversee the organization, maintenance, upkeep and use of music library, music supplies and instruments.
Be available for counsel and/or arrangements of special music for weddings, funerals, revivals, church fellowships, etc.
Serve as primary worship leader of RUSH Student Ministries.
Work directly with our Student Pastor to plan RUSH worship events each week.
Work directly with students to prepare, coordinate and lead RUSH worship team.
Engage students in worship through current and relevant worship music.
“Teach” worship to students.
Age groups and other worship groups
Work with Children’s Ministry music leaders to provide training, materials, and direction.
Develop opportunities for people to use their gifts in worship and at other church events, such as hand bell choir, senior adult choir, ensembles, soloists, instrumentalists, etc.
Ministry Staff expectations
Work with the ministry staff and volunteer leaders on annual ministry planning and presentation of an annual budget request related to all areas of the worship ministry.
Administer the approved annual music budget according to church policies and guidelines.
Give direction to a music ministry plan of outreach and enlistment.
Work in conjunction with all staff in the areas of personal evangelism, discipleship, and ministry among our church family and in our community.
Work with our pastor, ministry staff and support staff in coordinating the worship ministry with all other ministries of our church.
Actively maintain continuing education by pursuing opportunities that would improve personal effectiveness in the area of worship leadership.
Support the total ministry of the church by performing additional assignments as needed and directed by the pastor.
