We are an established church in the Walden community in Montgomery, Texas. We are in search of a candidate to continue our tradition of musical excellence by serving as a part-time Interim Choir Director. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter
and will have experience in leading worship and directing a choir in a traditional service. The ideal candidate will either possess strong vocal and or instrumental music skills, plus the individual will have a versed knowledge of traditional hymns.
Our ideal candidate will have a mature relationship with Jesus Christ as well as evident relational strengths with people. The Interim Choir Director will be able to recruit, develop and lead volunteers for our adult choir; as well as plan and develop weekly
service orders with the senior pastor.
The Interim Choir Director must have a degree in an applicable field and or some collegiate level of education. Of course, any additional ministry interests will be welcomed. Eventually, we would love to see this position mature into a permanent, larger
role, possibly as an Associate Pastor of Worship that oversees our contemporary service as well.
Our current search is focused on someone able to serve 6-10 hours per week, inclusive of Sunday responsibilities (up to 3 hours) with a salary that is appropriate for the hours served and the responsibilities of the position.
Candidating will include a Sunday performance, meeting with our search team and approval by our church board.
