A campus ministry in West Lafayette serving Purdue's campus by reaching out and providing a deeper community for some of the most gifted students in the world. We embrace the arts as a common language and expression of God's love for us through worship,
outreach, and studying the word of God. We have Sunday services for several hundred students, a mid-week Bible study, small groups, and are actively involved in missions and service locally and globally. We come alongside students to further construct their
faith in a way that is unique, filled with passion, and pointed purposefully at serving the Kingdom wherever their career takes them.
We Are Looking For...
A musician, singer, (songwriter would be nice, but not required) who loves God and desires to point people toward Him, a worship leader who is willing to lead others out of the overflow of a life devoted to Jesus and His glory. We are searching for a person
who is organized and creative. A person who plans ahead and is spontaneous in the moment. A person who leads worship by worshiping. A person whose worship publicly flows out of his/her worship privately. A person who approaches worship pastorally, relationally,
and Spirit-led. A person who cares about students and desires to see them connect with and grow in Christ. A person who is willing work hard and work well with a team of people. A person who is willing to fit the vibe of Campus House music but also willing
to consistently bring new (and even original) music to the community.
Oversee our worship services, creatively employ mixed media as necessary, and manage all related infrastructure. You will be asked to work with student bands, running practices and discipling them toward a deeper relationship with Christ. You will have the
opportunity to create, develop future worship leaders and at times you may be asked to teach. You will work with local musicians to schedule shows for our coffee shop Greyhouse and for our music and art festival Starry Night. Above all we will look to you
to have a vision for worship and where it is heading.
You Get To...
Work with a dynamic, passionate, hard-working team of gifted individuals in a casual work environment and be an active part of a large staff family. You get to love and learn from Purdue students and have the opportunity to make a huge difference in their
lives, and in turn, the world.
A degree and a handful of years of experience at leading worship. You should also be musically inclined, including proficiency at singing, and leading with an instrument (acoustic, electric guitar, or piano). Preferably, you should have experience as a sound
tech and sound design / studio recording. You should have a strong capacity for project planning, personnel management, financial oversight and accountability, and follow-through. You should carry yourself professionally and be comfortable serving a team.
We Will Provide..
An above-average salary, exceptional health and insurance benefits. We will provide office space, a laptop and all the other tools and equipment you need to do your job well.
Please send a résumé, references, and links to example videos of you leading worship (if available) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
