The Associate Pastor of Equipping Ministries will contribute to the work of building up the body of Christ at Cornerstone by strengthening Bible-centric teaching, ensuring that the Cornerstone community both knows and responds in faith and action to God’s Word. He will ensure that effective teaching is embedded in each ministry of Cornerstone, particularly by mobilizing, training, and motivating the next tier of leaders for Cornerstone ministries.
This man will participate with the pastoral team to shepherd the Cornerstone congregation with particular focus around the following areas:
He will prayerfully and diligently ensure that the Word of God remains central to the life and ministry of Cornerstone, holding every ministry
in the church to the centrality of the Word of God.
He will develop a new tier of leaders in the church to take responsibility for various ministries.
He will develop and oversee:
small group ministries
other related ministries
He will supervise one additional member of the pastoral staff team:
Pastor of youth and worship
Must meet biblical standards for church eldership
Evidence of God’s calling to vocational pastoral ministry
Has a passion to study and teach God’s Word
Minimum of five years experience in Christian ministry, a portion of which has been in a church of 300 or more.
Alignment with the core values of Cornerstone, including full confidence in the inerrancy and authority of Scripture.
Alignment with the Evangelical Free Church “Statement of Faith.”
Effective in working in the Cornerstone team environment
Minimum bachelor’s degree in a field related to Christian ministry
