Job Description:
Christ Community Church is a growing, vibrant church with 1500 people in attendance each weekend. We are located in southeastern Minnesota in the rapidly-growing community of Rochester, a dynamic city with over 100,000 people.

Do you have a clear calling to minister to adults, to see them grow in their walk with Jesus? Do you have the desire and ability to recruit and train adults to serve in ministry? We desire a servant leader to develop and oversee the vision and day to day growth of small groups, big groups, and overall adult discipleship.

Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education or equivalent.
3-5 years of previous discipleship experience with demonstrated progress.
Experience in an associate role in a multi-staff church.
2-4 years of small group experience.
Spiritually gifted in the areas of leadership, administration, and teaching.
Demonstrated ability to recruit, equip, release into ministry and direct volunteer leadership.
Strong relational and communication skills (written and verbal).
Forward thinking. self-motivated, reliable, and organized.

Through ongoing training and encouragement, organize and mobilize volunteers and staff to assist in implementing the discipleship process.
Develop a strategic curriculum, for all sizes of groups, that is capable of reaching people at any stage in their walk with Christ.
Create a discipleship environment which emphasizes both spiritual growth and evangelism.
Direct and oversee all phases of the discipleship process in cooperation with the other ministries at CCC.
Work with Assimilation Ministries to move people through the discipleship process by connecting them to a group.
Keep discipleship visible as an integral part of ministries to adults. Oversee publicity, schedules and promotional materials for the church’s weekly bulletin and other promotional materials such as website etc. as they pertain to discipleship.
Be an active discipler.
Exhibit the character traits and qualities of a Biblical Elder (I Tim. 3).
Develop and maintain the annual budget for Discipleship Ministry.

Complete other pastoral duties as assigned by the Executive Pastor, including but not limited to: counseling, teaching and pulpit support.

Reports to the Executive Pastor.
Regular involvement in LEAD Team and staff meetings.
Collaborate with LEAD team and Executive Pastor as needed.
Provide leadership, direction, and encouragement to group leaders (big and small) and to participants.
Be a regular participant in public worship at CCC.
Remain a church member in good standing at CCC.
