New Day Bible Church was formed in June 2006 with a mission to “Reach Out” to the community, “Reach In” to serve one another and “Reach Up” to glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In May of 2006 a core group of six families came together to form New Day and in two years the body has grown to nearly one hundred in regular attendance. The church is elder lead and is administered by teams dedicated to spiritual and communal growth in the areas of Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry, Missions and Worship.
For a small body and in a short period of time New Day has had a measurable impact in the community with a vibrant local and global missions program lead by our Missions team and supported by the entire body. New Day has also impacted the personal lives of numerous individual through evangelism, baptism, baby dedications, weddings and general gatherings of the church family including our monthly “Fellowship Feast” potluck, Christmas and Easter celebrations, Youth events, etc.
New Day is currently seeking to fill the role of Lead Pastor to guide New Day on a course of continued growth that is line with our mission to Reach Out, Reach In and Reach Up.
The Lead Pastor is to provide oversight to the general spiritual condition and direction of the congregation. Included in this is providing spiritual leadership through preaching/teaching; working with the Elder Board in establishing the vision for the church; coordinating church activities by partnering and delegating with the lay ministers and associate pastors; and the general shepherding of the church body through fellowship, discipleship, prayer and service.
In order to perform the job successfully, an individual is expected to meet the following qualifications:
1. Baccalaureate degree required; Masters of Divinity desired or the pursuant there of.
2. Two or more years as a lay minister or pastor (Associate, Youth, Worship, etc.) with a letter of recommendation from one or more former pastors or elder boards.
3. Able to teach and preach the word of God through expository and to topical methods.
4. Able to preside over ordinances of Communion and Baptism, the sacrament of marriage and the celebration of life through memorial services.
5. Able to provide pastoral counseling.
6. Able to endorse and support the New Day Bible Church Statement of Faith, Constitution and Bylaws.
The Lead Pastor is accountable to the congregation and reports to the Board of Elders. The Lead Pastor works directly with the lay team leaders, ministers and is responsible supervision of any current or future staff and associate pastors (Youth, Worship, etc.).
The Lead Pastor’s total compensation will be reviewed and established by the Elder Board on an annual basis with package updates applied July following an annual review. Initial base salary is commensurate with experience; annual bonuses are commensurate with performance. Paid time off, sick leave, insurance coverage and other benefits are administered through our Professional Employer Organization (PEO).
