Job Type: Full-Time
Grace Community Bible Church in Richmond, TX, near Houston, is seeking a full-time Youth Pastor.
We dream of a Youth Ministry that will lead the teenagers of our area into deep personal relationships with Christ, becoming young men and women of integrity and enjoying encouraging, accountable relationships with peers and adults. We long for our own sons and daughters to be spiritually attractive to non-Christians as nurturers, peacemakers, and bridge builders, demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit and a heart of service both in ministry here at Grace and in the community. Grace has been without a Youth Pastor for five months, yet we have in place an experienced, dedicated team of adult volunteers who will work with you to make these dreams come true. So we are seeking a team leader and a team player with strong interpersonal skills and an exemplary relationship with Christ.
We are seeking a Youth Pastor who will embrace our church-wide mission, vision, values, and strategy, and enthusiastically pursue them in our Junior and Senior High ministries. Grace offers a dynamic, fluid, learning environment. The successful candidate will be highly teachable—reading, thinking, learning, brainstorming, experimenting, and eagerly expanding his understanding of the world we are called to reach. The position of Youth Pastor thus calls for creativity and initiative within definite procedures and guidelines. Grace is a non-denominational church in the Dallas Seminary tradition. We are seeking an individual with a Bible College or Seminary degree, or with a college degree and relevant professional experience. Salary will be commensurate with training and experience.
Are you eager to learn, support, and pursue our distinctive mission, vision, values and strategy as part of a unified team leading a unified church toward a unified future? Are you willing to set aside the 9-to-5 lifestyle to join a small team responding to the varied demands of an innovative, fast-changing ministry culture? Can you recruit, develop and lead a growing team of volunteers, equipping them to minister to kids and share their struggles and triumphs? Can you deliver powerful messages from God’s Word that challenge both youth and parents with an awe-inspiring vision of God and relevant personal application? Do you have a consistent, vital and growing personal relationship with Christ sufficient to sustain you through the challenges of professional ministry? We would like to get to know you.
