LCPC Youth Ministry Mission Statement:
LCPC Youth Ministry exists to honor God in all we do, to invite students into Christian community, to support them through meaningful friendships, to help students grow closer to God, and to inspire each other to serve as Jesus did.

Purpose of Interim Director (approx. 90 - 180 days) of Senior High School Ministry:
Providing leadership for a Christ-centered high school program at LCPC ministering to 9th through 12th grade students, overseeing all ministries to those students, and ensuring a relationally based program that is nurturing and dynamic.

Reports to the Associate Pastor of Family Ministry and to the Youth Ministry Support Team


A. Oversee and direct all aspects of High School ministry at LCPC including but not limited to:
• Sunday morning worship program
• Fellowship and outreach programs
• Programs for Christian Education and Spiritual Development
• Leadership development for students and adult leaders
• Mission and service opportunities
• Develop effective small groups for nurturing, fun, and spiritual growth
• Oversee events such as retreats, camps, and special activities
• Communicate with parents through newsletters, phone calls, and parents’ meetings
• With the assistance of the administrative assistants, complete the administrative needs—newsletters/calendars, planning, phone calls, reports, etc.
• Provide transportation support as required (maintain valid insurance and Class C license)

B. Wisely manage the resources provided for High School Ministry
• Take direct responsibility for the leading and teaching
• Supervise, mentor and equip volunteer leaders

C. Report to the Associate Pastor of Family Ministry and work cooperatively with the youth staff, the Youth Ministry Support Team (YMST) and the other church staff members.
• Meet regularly with the Associate Pastor for ongoing supervision, accountability and mentoring

• Participate in regular team meetings with the youth staff and the YMST
• Participate in occasional church staff gatherings (meetings, lunches, etc.)
• Perform other duties as requested that are deemed necessary for a successful youth ministry
• Agree to follow the guidelines and policies of all LCPC personnel manuals and the YMST
• Meet monthly with a member from YMST for accountability, encouragement, and support

D. Maintain and pursue personal spiritual growth and active involvement in the LCPC community
• Continue building your own relationship with God
• Seek necessary nurture for personal spiritual growth by participating in a small group with your peers
• Regularly attend worship services and all-church gatherings
• Build friendships with members of the LCPC community

• Passion for helping students meet Jesus and develop a relationship with Jesus
• Four years experience in full time youth-related Christian ministry
• College graduate with some coursework (either college or graduate level) in youth ministry, theology or related area of study
• Gender balanced with the Interim Assistant Director of High School Ministry
• Ability to be a role model and mentor to students by actions, words, and deeds
• Able to obtain clearance for successful background check
• Able to demonstrate safe driving record
