Job Description:
We are looking for A SPIRIT-FILLED BELIEVER (in accordance with Acts 2:4) who will carry out the ECF Ministry Process of “Connecting With People” AND “Connecting With Service” by organizing and overseeing all aspects of small group ministry and volunteerism at ECF.

NOTE: This is a pioneer position and once established this position is intended to be split into two positions:
§ One is responsible for “connecting with people” – small groups;
§ The other is responsible for “connecting with service” – ministry teams and volunteerism.

Reports To: Lead Pastor
Relates Closely With: Administrative Pastor And All Department Leaders
Responsible for: ALL Small Group Leaders, Ministry Team Leaders, and Volunteers

Time Required By Position: 40 hours per week
Position Status: Full-Time
Gross Salary: Commensurate With Experience

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

Connecting With PEOPLE
o To research, plan, develop, coordinate, promote and maintain all aspects of midweek small group ministry including Wednesday Growth And Connection night, “LIFE” groups and Recovery groups;
o To oversee the growth and development of new and existing small groups;
o To train, disciple, and develop all small group leaders;
o To research, review, select, and procure new/relevant small group curriculum;
o To plan and coordinate the small group calendar for Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters;
o To develop a small group brochure and promote/market small groups each semester using multimedia tools available (i.e. website, printed materials, video, local newspaper, etc);
o To help devise a system of pastoral care that is integrated into the small group ministry;
o To increase the overall awareness of small group ministry as a means of spiritual growth and to move people through the process of participating in small groups to serving in helps-ministry teams.

Connecting With SERVICE
o To increase the awareness and participation in helps ministry at ECF, and to ensure that the ministry process of “connecting with service” (volunteerism) is coordinated, valued and honored throughout our congregation. This fulfills the Ephesians 4:12 mandate to equip the believer “for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”
o To work closely and coordinate with all department and ministry team leaders to increase the level and quality of volunteerism at ECF;
o To oversee the growth and development of new and existing ministry teams, and to nurture ministry team leaders and volunteers;
o To increase the number of volunteers for each ministry team and maintain a reasonable serving schedule;
o To coordinate and carry out with all department leaders annual appreciation events for those serving in the ministry of helps;
o To develop a helps-ministry team brochure;
o Examples of Ministry Teams are as follows:
§ Outreach Teams
§ Healing Teams
§ Usher/Traffic Teams
§ Security Teams
§ IT Ministry Teams, etc.

o To recruit, equip, train, encourage, and provide overall leadership & pastoral care for all small group leaders and ministry team leaders;
o To administer all aspects of the small group ministry and ministry teams such as schedule coordination, room logistics, and curriculum requisition;
o To maintain a close relationship and open communication with all small group ministry and ministry team leaders and to serve as a ministry resource to them.

Primary Strength and Skills Requirement:

o Passion for small groups, leadership development, and for people;
o Significant work experience in the marketplace. Seminary OR Bible training is preferred but not required if the candidate demonstrates a strong commitment to Christian life and the Word of God;
o Demonstrated success working with volunteers and developing small groups including recruiting, training, coaching, team building and leading people;
o Skill in understanding and preparing budgets;
o Must be able to relate well to all levels of business and professional men and women;
o Possess Superior Organizational and Leadership Skills;
o Excellent verbal & written communication skills;
o Familiarity with current Christian literature and media outlets (i.e. Dr. Kevin Leman, Bobb Biehl, Gary Smalley, Dr. Don Colbert, Beth Moore, Celebrate Recovery, Dave Ramsey, etc.);
o Proficient in MS Office Software (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).

o MUST BE A SPIRIT-FILLED believer in accordance with Acts 2:4;
o A heart for God, His people, and His Church;
o Ability to function as an integral part of the pastoral/administrative team;
o Ability to maintain a healthy balance between business and ministry;
o Must be self starter, innovative thinker, and spiritually mature;
o Must be highly relational, pastoral, tactful and discreet;
o Action oriented & able to maintain composure under pressure;
o Ability to adapt and excel in a fast paced environment.
