Shiloh BC is a church where God is at work! We are a church wanting to Know Christ and Make Christ Known in our community. Our pastor just came on field Dec. 1, 2007 and we are excited about the possibilities God has in store. Our church has a good number of youth and their parents and younger children and their parents. These are also a mission field in our community too. We feel God has a great plan for the spiritual and numerical growth of Shiloh and youth and family ministries are a vital part of His plan here.
We seek a man with a passionate pastor’s heart for youth and their families and children and their families. He needs to be a theologically conservative, evangelical, mission minded, solid Southern Baptist. Due to the scope of ministry: college and experience is required; seminary is a plus; and, being God’s man is essential.
The biblical qualifications for the man who will fill this ministry position are found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; and 1 Peter 5:1-4. Shiloh Baptist Church is seeking an Associate Pastor who will work in the ministry areas of youth and families who:
1.has a strong, deep personal faith and commitment to Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord;
2.has a commitment to his family and their relationship and growth in Christ as the primary goal of his ministry;
3.has a strong, conservative, evangelical Christian Southern Baptist faith;
4.has a heart, passion and commitment to the needs of youth and families within the church and community;
5.has a discipling ministry approach through vital personal relationships emphasizing worship, evangelism/outreach, discipleship, missions/ministry and fellowship/in-reach;
6.has the ability to teach and train youth and family volunteers and reproduce his ministry in them, turning the served into the servants;
7.preferably, has 2-3 years of youth and/or family ministry experience;
8.has at minimum an undergraduate degree, preferably from a conservative, evangelical Baptist college or university; a undergraduate degree in a related and practical ministry area. Seminary degree is a plus;
9.has skills in administration, vision and leadership, organization, planning, teaching, and public speaking;
10.has the ability to relate and work effectively and cooperatively under the leadership of the pastor and with other paid and volunteer staff, other church leadership, parents of youth and children, and the youth and children.
