Position Summary :


Harvest Springs has existed as a church 10 years, and consists of approximately 500 people attending a weekend worship service, of which 150+ are children 6th grade or younger.  Our church is committed to engaging people on the mission of Christ, reaching out with the gospel and discipling people into fully devoted followers of Christ.  


We are currently seeking to hire a full-time Children’s Pastor to lead our ministry to kids and their parents.  This person should have several years of experience in Children’s Ministry, be a proven team builder able to lead a large volunteer base, as well as be an innovative and creative leader with a vision to reach kids and families in our community beyond Sunday mornings.  We are looking for a leader willing the think outside the box and who will take our kids ministry to the next level, paving the way for kids ministry in the years ahead. 



General Responsibilities


Recruit, train, & oversee a Volunteer Team for Kids Ministry during worship services


Train & equip a core leadership team of ministry leaders in the area of Kid’s Ministry


Implement a biblical teaching curriculum, that is current and culturally relevant in engaging kids toward age appropriate spiritual growth.


Create a holistic approach to discipleship (loving God, loving each other, & loving the World) and evangelism that goes beyond Sunday mornings in ministering to kids and parents.


Assist families as necessary with parenting approaches to help their kids move along a pathway to spiritual formation and growth.


Work in conjunction with other staff and ministry leaders on developing outreach events and ministries that focus on reaching kids and their families with the gospel.


General Abilities


Good Communications skills (verbal - corporate & interpersonal, written, technological)


Creative and Innovative Thinking


Understands technology and is able to utilize it dynamically for ministry.

Experience & Education
Preferred, but not required, formal ministry education (Bible College, Seminary, etc.); 3-5 years kids ministry experience; knowlege of The reThink Group : Orange Curriculum
