High School Student Ministry Coordinator

Responsible for:
--Sharing and implementing the vision for all aspects of high school Student Ministry as established by the student ministry staff and leadership
--Commitment to small-group-based discipleship, leadership development, missions, and equipping/training senior high students and adult leaders for great ministry

--Professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
--Commitment to personal spiritual growth and healthy lifestyle
--Considers this position a life ministry
--Models standards and expectations of leaders within Ginghamsburg, including weekly worship attendance, Ginghamsburg Church membership, cell group participation, lifestyle of tithing and generosity, and faithfully serving out of call and giftedness

Education and Experience:
--Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or paid staff experience in a megachurch setting
--Expertise in senior high ministry
--Track record of successful recruitment/equipping/training of adult and student volunteers

--Excellent team-based leadership abilities
--Exceptional communication and organizational skills
--Strong ability to craft a message, from development to effective implementation
--Understanding of student/teen lifestyle issues and cultural trends
--Great relational skills with students and adults of all backgrounds and situations
--Ability to work in and contribute to an overall staff team “strengths-based” environment

Overall Expectations:
--Participation and teamwork with overall Ginghamsburg student ministry staff team in visioning, develo nd implementing educational and spiritual growth opportunities for all students
--Regional and national networking for continued information, ideas, and strategic impact in student ministries
--Development of a personal plan for continued growth/expertise in target ministry areas of responsibility
--Ability to create original senior high ministry curriculum or resources, or to team and contribute with other staff on original projects

--Take ownership and provide leadership for regular outreach “magnet events” for senior high students (and accompanying recruitment/training, deployment of adult servants), including Saturday night outreach, retreats, trips, etc.
--Develop and provide leadership for a strong senior high discipleship initiative, including cell groups, classes, youth gatherings and other educational/spiritual growth activities (plus recruitment, training, and deployment of adult servants)
--Provide a regular “community” event for senior high students to learn, have fun, grow spiritually, make friends, and build Christian community
--Create a discipleship track specifically to train and deploy senior high students for leadership roles
--Establish a strong year-round mission trip program for senior high students
--Create and multiply servant opportunities for student ministry (including adult leaders/servants)
