Georgetown’s current estimated population is 52,000 people. In seven years, Georgetown is expected to have over 100,000 people. In other words, we are experiencing growth and trends show that it will only increase over time.
First Baptist Church Georgetown, located just one mile from I-35, is currently looking for an Associate Worship Pastor. Responsibilities include directing choirs and an orchestra, often leading a traditional worship service and, from time to time, leading a contemporary service. We’re also looking for someone that has a strong singing voice or the ability to play an instrument. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred; however, we will take resumes from candidates currently working towards a degree if they can also work fulltime. Experience with technical arts (sound, lights, video, web) is a plus, but not required.
This position will report to the Worship Pastor; it is not a Lead Worship Pastor position. Benefits include health insurance, retirement, reimbursables, and paid vacation.
With traditional and contemporary worship, Bible-based instruction, and unlimited ministry opportunities, First Baptist Church Georgetown remains dedicated to bringing Christ to our community and our community to Christ. Our early traditional service features hymns and a choir special, and our later contemporary service features popular praise and worship music and a choir special.
