Job Description:
The Elementary Coordinator assists the Director of Children’s Ministry by ensuring that the Elementary Weekend Experience is of excellence and is reaching children of all learning styles and interests. This position is also responsible for building relationships with children and parents, overseeing the budget for this area, recruiting volunteers, and developing small groups. Position reports to the Director of Children’s Ministry.
College degree preferred with demonstrated experience in children's programming. Must be a team-oriented individual with strong multi-tasking and organizational abilities. Experience in recruiting and developing volunteers.
 Develops procedures that will create a safe, fun, meaningful and well-running service for elementary children
 Establishes relationships and communicates weekly with Elementary Leaders
 Creates an Elementary Leadership Team
 Attend weekly Children’s Ministry meeting
 Attends Team Meeting when needed
 Other duties as assigned
Elementary Check In
 Oversees the elementary check-in process, ensuring that there is proper coverage and supplies. Ensure that all volunteers check-in properly and that unauthorized persons do not enter the area. Ensure that all children check-in properly and are of the correct age
 Oversee supervision, activities and supplies for Game Room with the goal of ensuring there is something for all ages and interests of children. Keep current on new games and activities so that Game Room is on the cutting edge and is ever changing and developing
Elementary Large Group
 Recruit, schedule, train and develop hosts, worship leaders and praise team.
 Establish parent communication for worship leaders and praise team
 Supervise praise team practices and events
 Assist with CORE production team with input on music, curriculum, technical media etc.
 Plan, gather and maintain all props and supplies for Large Group portion of service. Oversee planning and production of all Large Group sets.
 Coordinate with Technical Ministry team to ensure proper audio and visual support of Large Group portion of service
 Be a consistent presence in Large Group portion of service
Elementary Small Groups
 Recruit, schedule, train and develop Small Group Leaders
 Organize all needed supplies and small group activities for Small Groups
Elementary Check-out
 Assign leaders to proper places for check-out of children
 Instruct children on check-out procedures
 Oversee security of the check-out process
 Assist in planning and execution of outreach events: Easter, Fall Festival, Family Services and Open Houses.

• Requires the ability to accomplish assigned projects through other ministry staff; utilizing highly developed communication (written and verbal), project management, time management and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform high quality, detailed work with minimum supervision within assigned deadlines;
• Demonstrates the ability to think strategically while staying focused on the accomplishment of current departmental priorities;
• Able to handle confidential matters and material with excellence.
