Palm Harbor United Methodist Church is seeking a Business Administrator ~ with a strong Christian faith and heart for our Lord ~ to manage the financial and business administration of the church. Primary responsibilities include financial oversight – maintaining, reporting and budgeting, facilities management, personnel management, and purchasing. Proven ability to successfully establish and implement new programs to improve church operations and identify cost saving areas - experience with planned giving program is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively with all church committees and thrive in team environment is essential. Desire to work with all areas of the church, support pastors and church mission and values.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or other related field, minimum of five years experience in Finance and HR management. Previous experience in church administration environment preferred. Must possess proven leadership and communication skills (both verbal and written). Thorough knowledge of computer hardware and Microsoft software – working knowledge of Shelby software is helpful. Demonstrated experience in organization development methods, conflict resolution, and staff supervision required. Ability to provide leadership and encouragement that effectively emphasizes and instills commitment, care, and excellence in the administrative areas of the church. Ability to recruit volunteers for various projects – i.e. - church grounds and facility projects.
