Job Description:

The Grove is seeking a Worship pastor with a heart for leading people into the presence of God through worship and the arts.  We are looking for someone that is a gifted musician, passionate about worshiping Jesus, and that leads others with humility and confidence while exhibiting strong interpersonal skills both in teams and on stage.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a Christian institution

- Must be a mature, growing believer with a clear understanding of God’s Word, along with the ability to clearly communicate it

- Experienced modern, creative musician (instrument and vocals), skilled in leading and performing a wide range of music

- Committed to spiritual integrity and artistic excellence

- Effective organization and inter-personal communication skills

- Can both lead and thrive in a team-based environment

- Teachable, responsive, and respectful of authority

- Minimum three years of full-time worship leading experience in a church of 300+

Responsibilities:

- Plan, coordinate, and present music for all 3 Sunday worship services (including one weekday      rehearsal)
- Recruit, schedule, develop, and mentor volunteer instrumentalists, vocalists, media, and sound techs
- Develop worship and arts for weekly services that contribute to an authentic worship experience
- Pastoral presence on the platform with an ability to engage the hearts of the people through music   and words
- Oversee worship and art departments
- Inspire and encourage the arts in such a way to reflect who we are as a community of believers
- Develop annual music plan and budget for worship and arts ministries
- Have or willing to become knowledgeable in lighting, sound, and presentation software, as well as be able to assist in these production components
