Children's Pastor at The Woods
The Woods is a multi-campus church with more than 1400 attendees. We are a fast growing, dynamic ministry with a mission to Love God, Love People, and Serve Our World. We are currently seeking a Children’s Pastor that has a minimum of 3 years experience
in a children’s ministry with 200+ kids and possess strong leadership skills.
Throughout its rich forty-eight year history, The Woods, as part of the church of the Nazarene has proven its ability to remain relevant while staying true to its mission.
The Woods is experiencing unprecedented growth, life changing spiritual renewal, and is passionate to reach many more people for Jesus. Thus, the church is searching for a Children's Pastor who will serve as the chief leader and communicator of the Children’s
Ministry at The Woods.
The new Children’s Pastor will most likely have a minimum of three years experience in a medium to large church, actively engaged in the direction, leadership, and execution of a successful Children’s Ministry. A Bachelor’s degree in the area of children, family,
education, or ministry is preferred.
Additionally, he or she would have experience in working, equipping, and engaging volunteers and parents. Ministry success should include an engaging, relevant, growing ministry to children that helps them grow to be strong followers of Christ.
Warren, Michigan’s third largest city is in Macomb County, a suburb of Detroit. The city is home to a wide variety of businesses, including General Motors Technical Center and the United States Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command. Warren is ranked 1st
in the nation for longevity of residence. Residents of Warren on average have lived in that community 35.5 years compared to the national average of eight years for communities of 100,000+ populations. It is close in proximity to the hustle and bustle of Detroit,
the eighteenth largest city in the U.S.
