To provide oversight of and overall direction, where required, to the financial, administrative and operational functions of Faith Church. This includes, but may not be limited to, human resources, facilities, finances, insurance, legal, purchasing, risk management, and information technology.

  • Minimum four year college degree
  • Minimum ten years experience in business and/or ministry leadership including direct            supervision of paid staff
  • Previous large church experience helpful
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to effectively represent the church in interactions with outside organizations
  • Accomplished leader, administrator, and decision maker able to prioritize, organize, plan,       delegate, manage, and execute tasks and programs
  • Able to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability with basic business computer systems, i.e., database, spread sheet,          word processing, and email applications




  • Oversee the development of, and maintain original versions of all church policies and             procedures including all elder approved policies
  • Review and approve any and all contracts that Faith Church enters into for ministry,     event, and business purposes
  • Oversee facility and administrative details for weddings, funerals, and baptisms
  • Member of the pastoral team

Financial Management

  • Oversee church accountant and bookkeeper and receipt, deposit, and disbursement of           all church funds
  • Oversee annual budget process, preparation of monthly financial results, and cash flow             management and controls
  • Oversee, monitor, and act as primary purchasing agent for procurement of equipment,           furniture, fixtures, and supplies, and maintain vendor relationships
  • Obtains annual audit or review of the church's financial statements
  • Oversee all payroll related functions including tax reporting
  • Administrate 403(b) plan


Human Resources

  • Primary source in personnel matters including recruiting, screening, recommendation of         candidates for administrative and support staff positions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files on all staff
  • Coordinate annual performance reviews of administrative and support staff
  • Oversee operation of and supervise front office staff
  • Assures church compliance with federal and state labor law


Insurance and Risk Management

  • Oversee and ensure appropriate insurance coverage’s are maintained and accurate     including: worker’s compensation; property/casualty/liability; and employee           health/dental/life/disability coverage
  • Serve as Faith Church’s primary risk manager in areas of child abuse prevention, legal documentation, ministry and facility security, etc.



  • Oversee all facility maintenance
  • Manage church calendar including approval of calendar requests
  • Supervise all facilities staff
  • Responsible for the information management systems and technology resources         including computer needs and use, network requirements, software evaluation and          purchase, and internet connectivity
  • Oversee use and maintenance of church owned vehicles
  • Oversee maintenance of the church mission’s house



The Operations Director will report to the Executive Pastor
