Grant Memorial Baptist Church, (“GMBC”), a member of the Baptist General Conference of Canada, is a vibrant, evangelical congregation, averaging 1,200 in two Sunday morning services. GMBC is known for its emphasis on teaching the Scriptures, its choice of traditional
and contemporary worship, its small group ministry, and its focus on outreach.
The Director of Connection & Community will be a part of the pastoral team at Grant Memorial.
The Director of Connection & Community will have the implementation oversight over the core activities, tasks and resources which equip and assist the church to connect people into the life of the church—from their first time visit
to connection with a small group and active involvement in the mission of the church. This oversight will include the areas of Guest Reception, Assimilation, Small Groups, Adult Communities (Men, Women, Young Adults) and Learning Communities.
The Director of Connection & Community will be a proven team player with leadership skills to work with established staff in the areas of 1) Learning Communities (Coordinator of Spiritual Formation) and 2) Guest Reception and Assimilation
(Coordinator of Follow-Up), and with lay leadership teams in the areas of Small Groups and Adult Communities (Men, Women).
The Director of Connection & Community will report to the Senior Pastor.
