Cook & Food Coordinator [2 positions needed]
Emphasis: Meal/Food Preparation, Management and Ministry.
Start Date: ASAP; Preferably no later than May 25, 2008. To be reevaluated at 3 months, 6 months & yearly.
Support: Self-support and/or donor raised Hours: Monday thru Friday 9:00 (Lunch to be one hour) 1- 4:30 and as needed.
Contact: Email, Phone, Skype and Walkie Talkie must be worn at all times. Desk in Cafeteria
Supervisor: Site Director
Weekly schedule: Priorities and tasks to be performed at supervisor’s discretion.
oM-F: 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Lunch to be one hour; extended hours as needed with comp time to be approved.
oAs needed for special events/mission teams/etc.
Mondays – Fridays
•Cooking for Children Summer Feeding Program, Teams, Retreats, etc.
•Cooking for Community Meals
•Coordinate GO: JOE (Coffee Ministry)
•Inventory cafeteria and food.
•Recruit donations of food and money.
•Cook and assist in coordination of Sr. Adult Feeding Program
•Cook for MLTP (Missionary Leadership Training Program)
•Coordinate Nutrition/Cooking Classes for community
•Coordinate Volunteers and Interns related to Cafeteria and Cooking
•Assist with Emergency food & hunger relief ministry as needed.
Other assignments as needed based upon Immediate Supervisor’s needs. Kitchen and Cafeteria MUST be on an “Inspectable Level” year round.
Other Duties: Assist in preparation and leading Mission Trips as needed.
Travel as needed to ministry sites and/or disaster relief sites.
Fundraising- Fundraising goal of $1000 per month for the Mercy Mission site budget, in addition to their personal/ family approved justified budget.
