Wyatt Park Christian Church
Job Description:

Wyatt Park Christian Church (worship attendance 365) in St. Joseph, Missouri is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor. In this position, you will focus on helping people grow as disciples of Jesus, through small groups, classes, and other experiences outside of worship. You will work with high school youth and adults, with special emphasis on young adults. We seek staff members who feel called to help people discover and develop their gifts, and then serve in ways that are consistent with those gifts. You will also have the opportunity to teach (preach) during weekend worship services several times during the year. You will assist the Senior Pastor with pastoral duties, and work in a collaborative way with the Senior Pastor and Children's Pastor to guide all of the church's ministries.

The position requires a deep, personal commitment to Jesus Christ and to personal spiritual growth. Minimum 3-to-5 years of ministry experience. Experience and gifts for mentoring adult servants, along with excellent organizational skills. Bachelor’s degree required and training for ministry is preferred (not necessarily seminary). Familiarity with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is helpful, but not required.
