  • Technical Support to Services / Rehearsals / Events:
    • Serve as the technical director for worship services insuring that worship runs smoothly and that all aspects of worship can be seen, heard, and experienced comfortably.
      • Providing adjustments to sound levels in real time during the service   
      • Preparing a cue sheet and calling cues in the manner of a professional theatrical stage manager over headsets during the service for a very smooth,        professional look and feel to transitions into music, video, drama, etc.   
      • Planning in consultation with the Director of Worship to be reasonably available to serve as the technical director for extra services at Christmas, Easter, and other productions.
    • Attend and  oversee any technical needs at rehearsals for music, drama, and other       performance ministries. Recruit, train, and schedule substitutes for any rehearsals the technical director is unable to attend.
    • Recruit, schedule, and train lay volunteers for the technical team, including training events outside of regular musical rehearsals and worship. Insure that all volunteer positions are filled as needed at all Christ Church events.
    • Coordinate personnel, payment, and technical needs for events originating outside the ministries of Christ Church (such as weddings).
    • Oversee the use, maintenance, and inventory of all video, sound and lighting hardware, and other equipment in the worship center. Recommend and purchase additional equipment as needed.
    • Serve as the technical representative to the Celebration Design Team, attending and       participating in weekly meetings and other events.
    • Attend weekend pre-celebration walk-through meetings.
    • Coordinate the production of original videos for worship services.


  • IT Responsibilities:
    • Oversee and manage information technology infrastructure.
    • Provide oversight for the server, network, computer equipment, software applications       and network infrastructure.
    • Actively monitor all incoming support requests, prioritize and respond as appropriate.
    • Support staff requests for help with desktop/laptop computers, Windows 7, Office 2007      and other desktop applications.
    • Diagnose and resolve  computer software and hardware problems, escalating issues when  necessary.
    • Complete adds, drops, moves and upgrades for computer, network and phone.
    • Manage Windows 2008 servers, Active Directory, Windows networking and printers, Exchange server and other server-based applications.
    • Manage  information security including permissions, passwords, firewall, anti-malware, anti-spam, and content filtration systems.
    • Install, configure and support managed network switches, routers, firewalls,  wireless access points, and the associated wiring infrastructure.
    • Provide on-the-spot user training in software and procedures as needed.
    • Manage phone and voicemail systems.


  • General Responsibilities:
    • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all ministry heads, both lay and staff. 
    • Establish and adhere to an annual budget.
    • Participate in staff meetings, retreats and other staff events.
    • Maintain up to date hardware and software inventory including software licensing.


  • Requisite Qualifications and Skills:
    • Bachelor’s  degree in Computer Science or related field or actively pursuing degree       completion.
    • In-depth  technical problem solving skills with the ability to support a wide range       of technologies and escalate to vendors when necessary to resolve issues.
    • Ability to troubleshoot PC/Server hardware problems and perform repairs.
    • A personal experience of conversion and commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to       lead Christ Church’s Technical Ministries with excellence.
    • Proven skill and ability in managing a small to medium sized information technology       infrastructure.
    • Must have the  ability to plan, budget, delegate and meet deadlines on time.
