Job Description:
This is a senior pastor position (one of five)
This purpose of this position is to create "Raving Fan" small groups where people can learn, change, grow, connect, support and experience God together.
Lead Pastor And/Or Executive Pastor
Senior Pastors, LG Assistant, LG Station-In-Life Pastors/Directors, LG Coaches, LG Leaders & Hosts

o Character - A growing, vibrant walk with God; integrity you can take to the bank; spiritual maturity.
o A Pastor's Heart - A heart to shepherd and care for his staff, the volunteers in the small group ministry, and the church.
o Strong People Skills- Able to get along well with others; good emotional intelligence; able to work through conflict well. Winsome.
o Team Builder - Able to attract, build and manage strong teams of gifted LG Pastors/Directors & coaches.
o Vision Caster - Able to communicate the LG vision effectively so that people buy in and embrace it.
o Leadership Development - Able to lead, train, and develop effective leaders at every level: the LG Pastors/Directors, LG Coaches, LG Leaders & Hosts.
o Strategic & Systems Thinking - Able to develop effective systems (both administrative & leadership) to make sure the LG's are on track and achieving their goals.
o Up Front Teaching Gifts - Able to design and deliver effective leadership training in a way that creates Raving Fans.
o Recruiting Ability- Able to develop/implement effective recruiting strategies to insure we have enough LG's to meet the need of our church (80%+ of our weekend attendance - and all the demographic station-in-life groups).
o Biblical Knowledge & Writing Skills - Able to write and/or build a team of writers who can produce effective sermon based curriculum for the Life Groups.
o To recruit and train enough qualified coaches, leaders and hosts to meet the needs of the church - in each major demographic group (80%+ participation).
o To develop effective systems of training/accountability for the LG pastors/directors, coaches, leaders and hosts to make sure they are on track and doing their jobs well - so that each person in each group is taken care of and accounted for.
o To develop challenging, motivating, and effective training for coaches, leaders & hosts.
o To create effective Life Group curriculum for the sermon based groups.
o To oversee a smooth sign-up process each quarter, including the development of the LG Brochure.
o To calendar the LG year a year in advance.
o To oversee the LG budget and staff.
o To counsel, perform weddings, and other pastoral responsibilities as needed.
o Possibly to oversee some other smaller ministries of the church - based on experience, training, etc.
