Job Description:
Malibu Presbyterian Church is currently looking for an Administrative Assistant. First and foremost this person must have a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and be actively involved in a Christian Church.
We are looking for the perfect mix between a business and relational minded person. You must be efficient, a quick thinker, and energetic team player. Able to prioritize multiple responsibilities, make and meet deadlines, work accurately with great attention to detail, and enjoy learning new skills. Be proactive, take initiative, and have the ability to be self-directed and work independently without supervision. Have the will to do what it takes to accomplish given goals. Dependability and flexibility are a must. This person must have exceptional Communication skills with the ability to resolve issues in a professional manner. Strong written, oral, and proofreading skills. Proficiency with Windows, MS Office 2007, email, internet, and data base programs is a must. Shelby exp is preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:

v Administrative Functions including filing, faxing, copying, letters, emails, sort mail, update voice mail, schedule meetings, check requests, auto check out, order books, order supplies, in-house room reservations, back-up on phones, organize Pastors offices, and other tasks as necessary.
v Proofread and edit bulletins, newsletters, and other communication mailings
v Proof read, edit, circulate, and finalize annual report. Give to Communications Coordinator for production.
v Coordinate staff evaluations
v Coordinate, prep, attend, and record minutes for Staff Meeting and attend A-Team meeting
v Update and maintain church Master Calendar
v Process new members to include scheduling their new member class, write biography, and post photos
v Order materials and set up new member class, location, date, and time
v The event planner for leadership retreat, women’s and men’s ministries, and Men’s dinners
v Handle registration and webview set up, input, tracking, and reconciliation for events and retreats
v Life Groups including updating database, coordinate meetings and trainings, and purchase materials
v Record Sunday attendance
v Monthly Session report, record attendance and calendar of events
v Code and reconcile credit card receipts
v Responsible for submitting timely and consistent timesheets, time off reports, check requests, and expense reports
v Continued professional and personal development as request by pastors and church
v Facilitate informative email blasts or mailings for Adult Ministry, pastors, or as requested
v Set-up and arrange travel for Pastor’s conferences
v Pull and arrange pieces for Sermon Signs
v Support for Missions Director and Missions Trips
v Other tasks as assigned
