Job Description:
Would you like to be a missionary and English-teacher in Japan?

We are in urgent need of an English-teaching Missionary.

We are seeking a native English speaker who is American, single, missions-minded, and able to teach beginners. This is a full-time church staff position and will be available near the end of September or beginning of October, 2009. Due to housing considerations, we are especially looking for women. We are an evangelical, bilingual church between Kobe and Osaka. For 39 years, we have been teaching English as a foreign language as an outreach ministry. Currently, we maintain six evangelistic Christian Americans as missionaries and we teach a Bible lesson in every English class. During our bilingual, traditional worship service, our pastor presents a strong expository message which is simultaneously translated into English. We also have a thriving children's and young-adult ministries. Many of our church members are fruits of our English ministry. This is an enjoyable ministry that's great for everyone seriously considering missions. While any TESL experience or knowledge of Japanese would be helpful, neither are required; flexibility, a servant's heart, and a love for Jesus and for people are essential.

Our church provides living arrangements, utilities, and medical insurance for each missionary, as well as a monthly financial support of 130,000 yen. We offer a two-year contract, but many missionaries stay longer. If you are interested in ministry, desire to work alongside a local evangelistic church, and agree with the terms of contract, please contact us. We welcome your questions. Come join the ministry to the lost Japanese!
