Job Description:
Northside is an innovative SBC Church in Columbia, South Carolina, that will soon relocate to a new 85 acre location. We currently average close to 1100 during our two unique Sunday services.

We desire a Minister of Students who demonstrates a lifestyle of worship, integrity and commitment. He should have a growing relationship with Christ, with his family, and with others. He will meet the biblical qualifications for leadership according to 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. He will have the kind of wisdom and peacemaking ability found in James 3:17-18. The fruit of the Spirit should be evident and growing in his life, especially the fruit of love according to 1 Corinthians 13. He will be able to embrace and support the Northside Baptist Church purpose, mission, vision and values.

Our ideal candidate will have strong student leading abilities. He should also have the ability to build and lead a Sunday School team, ensuring that workers are organized and equipped to produce a vibrant, evangelistic, and caring Sunday School program. He will need excellent communication and people skills, good organizational and leadership skills, proven team building ability, and three or more years experience in churches of 500 or more. He will be a learner who is always looking for ways to improve and grow himself, his staff, and his ministry partners. He will be actively involved in sharing his faith with others outside the church.

Our new Minister of Students will be a secure, confident individual with the ability to work well with and enjoy others. He will need to have excellent chemistry with our Senior Pastor and the Pastoral Leadership Team. He will be forward thinking, solution seeking, and redemptive in his approach to problem solving and conflict management. He will have good relational and communicational skills as well as a strong work ethic.

Our desire is to create an environment for our staff that is joyful, fun, productive, creative, catalytic, caring, and committed to excellence in life and ministry. We want to grow a healthy, vibrant church that deeply loves God and one another. We want to live life deeply together and to share that life with others.
