Job Description:
Do you imagine what the church looks like beyond the walls of the Sunday event? Are you able to sense God when the church is scattered as much as when she’s gathered? If you find yourself at home in a downtown music venue as you do within the margins of a City, if you are fluent in the indie music scene, resist eating at big box establishments, exegete the arts to find Life, then we might want to talk.

Riverbend is looking for an emerging young leader – someone who’s culturally savvy, theologically integrative, and socially sophisticated. Sound interesting? As a part of the larger faith community, Untitled is a young adult community seeking to add to its leadership voice.

We like to think of Untitled as a work in process, an on-going experiment with life, love and truth. Our goal isn't to just host a weekly class but build a community. We're a pretty relaxed group, and we like spending time together and "breaking down the wall" between secular and spiritual, contending that the whole of life is spiritual...which means we're just as "at home" on a Sunday morning as we are at a happy hour, or on 4th street for an informal gathering, or at a coffee shop, discussing spirituality and life, in general.

We are Austinites and non-Austinites, 20 & 30-Somthings, single and married, professional and not. We are liberal and conservative, broken and healing, searching and clinging. We see faith as a journey, never static. We see community as necessity for faith.

This leader will be able to function in a collaborative environment, be effective and willing to grow in large and small group communication, and able to guide both programs and people. We see this role as a developmental position for someone willing to be mentored while also is given responsibility to share in the leadership.

Still interested? We should talk.
