Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this position is to develop relationships with the youth of the church. He/she must love the Lord and have a passion to lead young people to a personal relationship with Christ. He/she will be called upon to teach students about Jesus through instruction, prayer and a willingness to seek God's will. He/she must be encouraging and be able to equip others to be the same. A heart for youth ministry, a clear sense of Christian vocation and good communication skills are necessary. Duties include spending time with youth at church as well as outside of scheduled youth activities, communicating with parents, being available to talk to students and making counseling referrals when necessary. Visioning, planning, training, equip nd leading of all youth volunteer leaders. Promoting involvement of youth and youth leaders in the church. Working with staff members on budget preparations, coordinating with facility needs and working with pastors. Bachelor's degree required plus 2 years direct, relevant experience required.
