POSITION TITLE: YOUNG ADULTS PASTOR
LOCATION: DOWNTOWN CHICAGO
SALARY RANGE: COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE
JOB DESCRIPTION / DUTIES:
Reports to the Executive Pastor
Development, leadership and oversight of the young adults ministry, staff, and teams
Recruit, direct and develop the volunteers who serve in the young adults ministries
Oversight to all budgets related to the Young Adults Ministry
Assist in selection and development of individuals who display the gift of teaching and leading in this ministry
Aid in research, preparation, and evaluation of curriculum for classes, small groups, etc.
Participate in staff meetings
Develop, participate, and manage other programs as agreed to by the Elder team
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Proven ability to envision, recruit, build teams, develop and direct staff and lay leaders
Proven ability to develop and implement strategy
Desired Gifts, Skills, Talents, and Passions:
Ability to coach volunteers
Functional level of administration skills
Perform general pastoral duties when necessary
Actively exercising a strong passion for evangelism
Personal Requirements:
Exhibit a growing relationship with Christ, demonstrating Godly character and Christian disciplines in keeping with elder qualifications as laid out in 1 Tim 3
Demonstrate a passion for and personal practice of evangelism
Become a partner (member) at the church
Live within the Chicago city limits
Exhibit a vibrant, biblical marriage (if married) and family life
Accountability:
Reports directly to Executive Pastor
Interfaces regularly with other staff
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Seminary degree
Lived and ministered in a large urban city
